In line with Heidelberg Materials Group’s Health and Safety Policy, Heidelberg Materials has implemented its Health & Safety Management System since 2004 and certified OHSAS 18001 by Bureau Veritas.
The Health and Safety Policy states that the Company shall comply with all relevant legal requirements of health and safety, encourage and support Government and community initiatives for health & safety promotion, eliminate and reduce injury and occupational illness by establishing and maintaining safe work system and take proactive measures to communicate occupational health and safety hazards to all employees working for the Company or on its behalf.

As a pioneer in cement manufacturing in Brunei, Heidelberg Materials Butra Sdn Bhd is committed to:

To this end, we will

- Minimize the impact of its operations on the environment by reducing dust emissions, using energy and resources efficiently and encouraging usage of environment friendly materials.
- Eliminate and reduce injury and occupational illness by establishing and maintaining safe work system
- Necessitate continual improvement of its QEHS management system by setting and reviewing objectives.
- Take proactive measures to communicate customer requirements, environmental impact, and occupational health and safety hazards to all persons working for Heidelberg Materials or on its behalf.
