Heidelberg Materials Butra Sdn Bhd has become an integral player in our nation building by providing locally produced cement with better quality and better strength. We are proud to be a part of our nation’s progress, and to continue to build a great future for many more generations to come.
History
Established on 11th November, formerly known as Butra Djajanti Cement Sdn Bhd. This has set us to be the pioneer for the cement industry in the country.
The cement production plant was officially operational.
The commercial production of both OPC 42.5R Bulk and 50KG Bags has begun as we entered the domestic market in June.
The Government required the quality of cement to be upgraded to a minimum class of 52.5N. We were able to manufacture and certified to the highest grade of 62.5N.
Became part of a joint venture with one of the world’s leading cement producers, Heidelberg Materials (formerly HeidelbergCement). We officially rebrand to Butra HeidelbergCement Sdn Bhd.
In line with the Bruneianisation policy, 70% of our staff are locals.
Received an Energy Saving Award on 5th September for conserving and maximizing the use of energy in our cement plant.
To minimize carbon emission, we successfully produced the PCC 52.5N cement that is partially made from biproduct materials and launched the PCC 52.5N Cement 50kg Bags in September.
We are the official cement suppliers for the second longest pylon cable stayed bridge in the world, the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Bridge.
Supplied for the dual carriageway Pulau Muara Besar Bridge.
Won 2nd Place for Best Practice in Non- Metallic Mineral Distribution at the Seventh ASEAN Ministerial Meetings in Minerals in Thailand.
Supplied for the Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge also known as the Temburong Bridge.
Celebrated our 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary.
Won 2nd Runner up in the Ninth ASEAN Mineral Award for Best Practice in Mineral Processing Non – Metallic in Cambodia.
As we move towards a sustainable and digital future, the group has transformed its industry as we rebrand ourselves to Heidelberg Materials Butra Sdn Bhd.
