Butra HeidelbergCement gave the orphans of Kampung Serasa and Pekan Muara a reason to cheer for Hari Raya Aidilfitri with a special donation to help liven the festivities and strengthen ties for the Serasa community.

The charity event was held in conjunction with the company’s Hari Raya celebration at their Serasa headquarters and was attended by all staff. A total of 62 orphans from Mukim Serasa along with their guardians were invited with Ketua Kampung Pengiran Haji Mohamed Pengiran Haji Osman as the guest of honour.

Presenting the opening address was Plant Manager Mr. Dennis Javier who shared his appreciation for Kampung Serasa in being pleasant hosts to their operations for the past two decades. He said that the donations are a small token of their gratitude to the community and hopes that their mutual support will continue to promote healthy ties in the future.

The guest of honour shared the same sentiments in his speech shortly after as he expressed his thanks to Butra HeidelbergCement on sharing their concerns for the orphans in Kampung Serasa and aiding their needs. The donations were personally handed out by both Mr. Dennis and Pengiran Haji Mohamed to all 62 orphans before sharing a group picture with the head management of Butra HeidelbergCement.
