On April 22nd, 2018, witnessed the exciting finale of Butra HeidelbergCement (BHC) Sdn Bhd’s “Kick Off with Brunei Cement” at the National Indoor Stadium, Berakas with a total of 100 participants battled for the winning ticket to Russia.

For the past month, BHC has organized a series of activities in line with the “Kick Off with Brunei Cement” Event. The pre-event activities started early March 2018 with the “Stick and Win” activity where participants had to stick the official “Kick Off with Brunei Cement 2018” on a registered motor vehicle and be spotted in several locations announced by the company on its Instagram account. The second pre-event activity was the “Snap and Win” where several riddles were mentioned at Brunei Cement’s social media account and in order to win, participants had to guess and snap a photo of the location. Lastly, the third pre-event activity was the “Follow and Win” activity that was held in BandarKu Ceria and Tutongku Ceria. Participants were required to follow the Brunei Cement Instagram account and those that were able to obtain a special stressball with the special logo were given a ticket to participate in the main event at Stadium.

All winners from the pre-event activities competed yesterday in a series of games including the “Scavenger Hunt”, “Tallest Tower”, “Name the Flag” and “Score and Win”. Participants together with their family and friends also had an opportunity to enjoy several activities happening during the main event including Kids corner, Face painting, and free food giveaways; 100 sticks of cotton candy, popcorn, coconut ice-cream and chicken joy from Jollibee.

In the welcoming speech, the Production Manager of BHC, Hjh Noorhaya Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Hj Mat Jaya remarked “We believe that strength does not only come from the buildings and the structures that have shaped Brunei, but also from the commitment, the passion and the drive of our people to move our country forward. We believe that these are the qualities that define our strength, and these are the qualities that we want to highlight throughout the Kickoff campaign”.

In the end, Md. Khairul Anuar Hj Abd Ghani emerged victorious by winning the ultimate grand prize of a trip for two (2) to Russia including Hotel and tickets to watch the World Cup game between Germany vs. Mexico on 17 June 2018 at the Moscow Luzhniki Stadium.

Other fabulous prizes were also given to the second and third prize including a Microsoft Surface Pro and Garmin Watch Vivo Active 3. The winners were Md Zain Hj Zulkifle and Hjh Siti Nurnajiah Hj Yahya respectively.

The Kick Off with Brunei Cement Event was held in line with the FIFA World Cup 2018.
